Family: Asparagaceae (Agavaceae)
Native to: west Texas, northern Mexico
Dimensions: to 20' tall with trunk, 8' wide
Cold resistance: hardy to -25°F in dry climates
Drought resistance: excellent, but responds to irrigation
Key Features: large exotic-looking Yucca, dark green leaves with sharp tips, white flowers on mature plants
Uses: large-scale cactus/succulent garden, urban settings/reflected heat, desert adapted, deer resistant.
