Native to: Japan
Dimensions: tree to 25' (eventually higher), but sometimes remains shrubby for many years
Cold resistance: hardy to about -10°F
Drought resistance: best results with summer irrigation
Key Features: interesting coarse texture, scales white on one side
Uses: specimen plant, conifer garden, good in containers
