Description:
This sturdy, adaptable and long-blooming shrub is one of the best Grevilleas we can grow in the Northwest and deserves much wider use. It will draw hummingbirds to the garden all winter long. A Xera Plants selection, where it occurred as a chance seedling, it grows quickly 8' tall with greater spread. Showing an excellent combination of cold-hardiness, vigor, and floral display, it looks a bit like the older cultivar G. victoriae 'Marshall Olbrich' with linear leaves to about 2"; but is arguably superior, having much denser foliage and being less floppy; also the flowers are larger.

This plant would naturally be wider, but has been pruned to keep it out of the walkway. Photographed 12/19/15, Hummingbird Hill Villa, Whidbey Island, Washington, copyright © 2015, Ian Barclay.
