Description:
Wow! This large shrub is quite impressive when in full bloom, with its bright orange ball-shaped flowers. Like many Buddlejas, it is a fast grower and is excellent where something is needed to fill out quickly. Generally evergreen, some foliage loss may occur in colder winters. It is adequately drought tolerant west of the Cascades in the Northwest, but will respond to good soil and irrigation with much faster growth. Unlike a certain Asian butterfly bush, it is not invasive and does not reseed in cultivation in the Pacific Northwest.
